Shellie Zimmerman, wife of the neighborhood watchman charged with killing Trayvon Martin, was arrested Tuesday on one count of perjury.  Seminole County police picked her up from her home, where she was in hiding.

A police warrant said Shellie Zimmerman “knowingly made a false statement” in her husband’s first bond hearing, claiming that the couple was in poor financial standing.  After a phone recording showed the couple discussing personal finances, prosecutors contend the couple omitted how much money George Zimmerman’s website accumulated through a PayPal account, an amount totaling $135,000.

Shellie Zimmerman posted the $1,000 bond around an hour after she was booked.
