China Looks To Increase Its Influence In Afghanistan

Top Chinese and Afghanistan officials will meet this week in China to sign an agreement between the respective countries which will strengthen their ties. As the U.S.-led coalition continues its preparation to leave Afghanistan at the end of 2014, China has shown signs of wanting to play a more active role in Afghanistan. This new agreement includes security cooperation between the two countries.
