This year will see the release of the romantic comedy "Lust for Love," starring Whedon-verse veteran Fran Kranz. Currently in post-production, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is about a naive guy (Fran Kranz) who, after finally winning the girl of his dreams (Beau Garrett), is quickly dumped by said girl. In an effort to win her back, he convinces her best friend, played by Dichen Lachman, to assist him attain his goal. The film is directed by first-timer Anton King, and produced by AGGK films. 

Writer-director Joss Whedon is known for the intense devotion and loyalty he incites from his fans. Anyone who considers him-or-herself a Whedon fan will closely follow the work of the actors who have starred in any of the Whedonverse's wonderful installments.

Incidentally, (or not so incidentally,) these actors will often reunite, either under the direction of Whedon, or of their own accord. Most recently, "Firefly"'s Adam Baldwin guest starred on "Castle," where he was reunited with his co-star Nathan Fillion, who plays the title character. Within the Whedonverse itself, practically every memorable actor has appeared at one point or another in at least one of the other works. 

Fran Kranz has gained a certain presence in the Whedonverse after being featured in both "Dollhouse," and, more recently, "Cabin in the Woods." This year, in addition to "Lust for Love," he will also appear in the micro-budget Shakespearean adaptation, "Much Ado About Nothing," which Whedon filmed over a weekend in his backyard.

Though Joss Whedon is not involved in the "Lust for Love" project, it will feature many other inhabitants of the Whedonverse, including Felicia Day of "Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-Long-Blog," and "Dollhouse" alums Dichen Lachman, Miracle Laurie, Enver Gjokaj, and Maurissa Tancharoen. The latter is also wife of Jed Whedon, Joss' brother and co-writer of both "Dollhouse" and "Dr. Horrible," for which Maurissa wrote as well.
