Thousands of Mexico's students are demonstratiing against the country's top two television networks over allegations that biased media coverage is attempting to secure the election of prediential candidate Peña Nieto as well as the return of the notorious PRI party to power. Some are caling it a battle between old media and social media.

The Institutional Revolutionary Party, or PRI, ruled Mexico until 2002. Demonstrators accused the PRI of stealing public money, rigging elections and silencing dissenters. Nieto denied the accusations, claiming the party has changed and is capable of severely reducing the drug violence.

The latest poll released today shows Nieto leading the other presidential candidates by 20 points but his lead has slipped more than 2 percent over the past month.

Elections are scheduled for July 1.
