Still in her sequined wedding dress, Estrella Carrera was found dead in her Chicago home bathtub just hours after leaving her wedding cocktail reception.

Now, a manhunt is underway to search for her husband, Arnold Jimenez, 30, who is believed to have fled from Carrera's apartment in a black 2006 Maserati. The Burbank Police Department in Illinois have issued a first-degree murder warrant for Jimenez and describe him as being six feet tall, 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

The LA Times reports:

"The search is not only being conducted here in Chicago and Illinois, but thanks to the media we can get our message throughout the United States and also other countries," Burbank Police Capt. Joseph G. Ford told the Los Angeles Times about the search for Jimenez. "We are working with several police agencies throughout Illinois, including the FBI, and also pushing the Jimenez info out beyond Illinois to other police agencies as the tips come in."

According to The Chicago Tribune who interviewed Estrella Carrera's family members, Carrera had had an on-and-off relationship with Jimenez for three years, and he was the father of her youngest child,a 2 year old boy.

Sandy Lopez, a cousin of Carrera, said Jimenez had "problems", and his relationship with Carrera was disapproved of by some of her family members. Because of this, Carrera went so far as to hide her wedding plans from her family until Friday, when she called and invited them to a "party" that evening. Once the family got to the celebration, they realized it was actually her wedding.

The couple were married Friday night at Chicago's City Hall, friends and relatives then headed to a restaurant for a celebratory dinner. From there, the revelers piled onto a party bus to take them to the cocktail reception, according to the Burbank Police Department.

According to police interviewed by The LA Times:

"Jimenez and Carrera were last seen by friends and family at approximately 4 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, as they exited a rented party limo and proceeded home."

Carrera had left her children at her father's house prior to the celebrations, and when she failed to pick them up on Saturday, family members went to her apartment to check on her, but received no answer even though both her cars were parked in the driveway. Police were notified the next day.

Jimenez remains the key suspect in Carrera's murder as there were no signs of forced entry at Carrera's apartment.
