After a battle with lung cancer, singer Donna Summer died Thursday morning in Florida according to TMZ. She was 63-years-old.

Sources tell TMZ Summer tried to keep her illness quiet and was even trying to finish a new album.

The singer began her music success in the 70’s with classic tunes such as “Hot Stuff,” “Last Dance” and “Bad Girls.”

She continued her success in the 80’s with “She Works Hard for the Money” and “This Time I Know It’s For Real.” 

Summer is survived by her husband, Brooklyn Dreams singer Bruce Sudano, and three daughters.
