George Zimmerman Made $200,000 From Website
Mark O’Mara said he learned about the money on Wednesday. He will inform a judge at a Friday hearing, and said that his client's $150,000 bail may have been higher if the judge knew Zimmerman had raised $200,000.
Zimmerman has been charged with second-degree murder in the Feb. 26 shooting of Trayvon Martin. He was released from jail Monday after his family paid 10 percent of $150,000 bail, CNN reported.
O'Mara said the money has been placed in a secure account, CNN reported.
"Nobody's touching it until we figure out how to handle it," he said.
The attorney charges $400 per hour for family law cases and told CNN he estimates Zimmerman's defense costs could reach $1 million.
Zimmerman's website is no longer available.
