8 weeks after premiering Superbowl Sunday, "The Voice" started its live performances pulling out all the stops to bring the entertainment. There were a number of showstopping performances that blew the competition away. This week, and from now on, the fate of the contestants lies in the hands of America. Hopefully, they will be able to recognize the contestants undeniable talent.

Team Blake Shelton and Team Christina Aguilera went head to head this week, with each of their 6 team members showcasing their talents. With each teams diverse vocal ability, it has forced each artist to not only be able to sing, but perform. The energy that opened the show with Jermaine, singing "Living On a Prayer" was palpable, but wasn't the best song choice for his voice. While there's no denying that Team Christina's Chris Mann has unchaining vocal talent and range that stunned the audience, he needs to be able to feel the song. Once he does that, he has the ability to take over the competition.

One of the most pleasantly surprising performance came from country singer Raelynn. Shw owned Maroon 5's "Wake Up Call" turning it country and adding her sass to the performance. Adam Levine weighed in saying, "You broke my heart when you didn't pick me, and then you broke my heart again today when you did our song and you did it so darn good." Mr. Levine had more choice words regarding Moses Stone. His performance of "Stronger &Power" by Kanye West needed to showcase his voice and much less screaming on last night's show.

Naia Kete pulled a bold move, singing Adele's "Turning Tables." She held her own throughout, but even the song was a little too big for her. Sticking true to Adele's version instead of a reggae arrangement may not have been the best decision, but that didn't sacrifice on entertainment value. Lindsey Pavao, who has one of the most unique voices on the show, didn't stun singing "Somebody I Used to Know." Her airy, breathy tone wasn't able to capture the power in the chorus. Hopefully, America will give her a pass for next week.

Saving the overall best for last, Jesse Campbell & Charlotte Sometimes were undeniably the best performances of the night. Charlotte's arrangment on Paramore's " Misery Business" blew the judges and audience away. Whereas, Jesse's ability to sing absolutely anything, stole the show with "What a Wonderful World." His intimate yet dynamic performance at this point makes him the one contestant to beat.

Make sure to tune into NBC Tuesdays at 9 p.m. for the live results show. See if your favorite contestant made it on to the next round.
