Various restaurants offer delicious birthday discounts and freebies for your special day. While most restaurants will have their employees parade around with a dessert and sing “Happy Birthday to you” at the top of their lungs, the following list includes some offerings that are a tad more unique. And maybe a tad less embarrassing. 

IHOP

What It Is: Free meal (Plus two more!) 

How To Get It: Sign up with IHOP’s Pancake Revolution. You will also get a free meal just for joining, and again on the one-year anniversary of your membership. Yup, you counted right, that’s THREE free meals. 

Hooters

What It Is: Hooters T-Shirt, a song from the Hooters Girls AND 10 free wings (Sure, you can pretend you only go for the food)

How To Get It: Join the Hooters online club. This deal extends to multiple locations, but double check with your nearest location. You should get an e-mail when your birthday rolls around. 

Au Bon Pain

What It Is: Free sandwich or salad (Birthday lunch, anyone?)

How To Get It: Sign up with Au Bon Pains eclub, and they will e-mail you the coupon for your birthday. 

Ben & Jerry’s

What It Is: Free scoop of ice cream (If you can possibly choose one of their numerous flavors) 

How To Get It: Become a “Chunk Spelunker” by joining their online club. When you sign up, indicate the most convenient location to you since that is where the coupon will be valid. 

Coldstone

What It Is: Buy one, get one free coupon (Bring a friend… or hey, take them both down yourself. It’s your birthday- no judgment shall be passed) 

How To Get It: Join the online club. You will get an e-mail with your coupon one week before your special day. It is valid for seven days before and seven days after.

Black Angus Steakhouse

What It Is: Free steak dinner (PLUS a free dessert! Arguably the best deal of them all?) 

How To Get It: Join the Prime Club. The free steak dinner is valid for two weeks before and two weeks after your birthday. 

The Veggie Grill

What It Is: Free entrée (In case you want to kick off the next year of your life on a slightly healthier note) 

How To Get It: Sign up with their online birthday club. 

Red Robin

What It Is: Free burger (For those who do not find the above option appealing)

How To Get It: Join their eclub. You select by location, and Red Robin will send you a voucher for a free birthday burger.

Famous Dave’s BBQ 

What It Is: SURPRISE! 

How To Get It: Join their P.I.G. (Pretty Important Guest) Club online. They will send you a coupon a few weeks before your birthday, and you have to bring this coupon into Famous Dave’s in order to see what you get. Some are good for dessert while others get you a free slab of ribs. 

On the Border

What It Is: Free dessert or appetizer

How To Get It: Sign up with their birthday club called Club Cantina. If your birthday is far away, fear not, you get a free appetizer just for signing up! 

Make sure you double check with each specific location when your birthday rolls around to make sure the deal is still valid, and don’t forget to bring your ID and print the coupon (if necessary). May everyone have a delicious birthday with these scrumptious deals!
