"Dance Moms Miami" airs Tuesdays on TLC (TLC)

The solos this week go to Lucas, the underdog Hannah, and Sammy, the newest addition to the studio. Expectations are high as all three are competing against each other and are out to prove themselves. This is Hannah’s first solo and she is eager to show improvement in her technique and prove that she is on par with the other dancers. And as the newest member of Stars, Sammy feels like she needs to prove that she deserves to be there and deserves respect as a dancer. 

With Jessi at the bottom of “The List” after snatching a trophy out of Hannah’s hands last week, crazy Susan is ready to start some drama. After dragging Jessi out of the studio and blaming Hannah for Jessi’s actions, Susan gets a good scolding from Angel. Eventually she returns to some state that resembles sanity and, believe it or not, she actually apologizes. 

But it wouldn’t be "Dance Moms" without at least a few good spats. As solo rehearsals get under way, tensions rise in the studio as the instructors, Angel and Victor, have their own conflict.  Arguments over the choreography in Sammy’s solo have everyone stressed out. 

But when the competition is finally over everyone relaxes, at least for a little while. All three solos place in the top five with Sammy taking home first. And the group performance also gets the gold. 

Despite the mommy drama, its safe to say that after two episodes, "Dance Moms Miami" is not just a repeat of the original series. The personalities shown so far are wildly different. Though a little eccentric, Victor and Angel are actually supportive of the kids, and they seem to be well liked by their students. Plus some of the kids are just adorable, especially Lucas. That kid is a born star and he knows it. But he works hard and gets along well with the group. 

And so far, the moms haven’t really been that bad…except for Susan.
