LF USA, the subsidiary of Hong Kong based company Li & Fung is said to be in contact with Marchesa about a contemporary line, reports Women's Wear Daily. It is not surprising that Marchesa may be thinking of expanding his designers into a more affordable price range, as many top fashion brands have been doing so in the recent years, including Karl by Karl Lagerfeld and Marc by Marc Jacobs.

 

The designers of Marchesa, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, have created extraordinarily beautiful pieces in the past, so it will be interesting to see how they transform their luxurious style into an affordable line of clothes. The tremendous success of Notte by Marchesa creates no doubt that compromise on quality and design is not an option for Marchesa.
