The next stage John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr share will be in rock 'n' roll heaven, but are "The Beatles'" offspring planning a superchild collaboration?

BBC News interviewed James McCartney Mondayto discuss the 34-year-old's music career and the overbearing influence his surname has on his personal work.

When prompted if he would consider uniting with the other Beatles' sons, James McCartney responded:

"I don't think it's something that Zak [Starr's son] wants to do. Maybe Jason [Starr's other son] would want to do it. I'd be up for it. Sean [Lennon] seemed to be into it, Dhani [Harrison] seemed to be into it. I'd be happy to do it."

But is the project realistic?

"Yeah, hopefully, naturally," James McCartney said.

"I don't know, you'd have to wait and see. The will of God, nature's support, I guess. So yeah, maybe."

Sir Paul's only son will be touring North American this summer; a Los Angeles pit stop is scheduled for May 31 at The Roxy.
