The actor, who is in Washington to push for federal funding of the arts, made the announcement at a National Press Club luncheon Monday.  

Baldwin voiced his displeasure with NBC last week after a crew from the "Today" show camped outside his apartment to record a piece about stalking.

"I think I'm leaving NBC just in time," Baldwin tweeted, leading many to believe that the 54-year-old actor was ending his tenure with the network.

Though Monday's statements reassured fans that Baldwin will remain with "30 Rock" next season, the future of the show is uncertain.  

"As far as I know, '30 Rock' is back next year," Baldwin tweeted. "But all things must pass. New shows. New people."   

In a recent appearance on "The View," show creator Tina Fey hinted that "30 Rock" is close to its finish line. 

"We can't do this for like 35 years," Fey said.

"We'd love to keep going and see where everybody ends up, right? But you don't want to see me with a gray stripe, eating a slice of pizza, going on dates."
