As the house lights dimmed inside the beautiful Vibiana cathedral, the soft sound of a violin began to harmonize alongside the instrumentals to OneRepublic's "Apologize".

Standing at the start of the runway was a musician rocking dazzling sequined shorts and a knitted black sweater vest. The beautiful performer proceeded to walk the runway while playing her violin and as the music transitioned into another song's instrumentals, she returned to the start of the runway and walked in front of the side curtain as the first model strolled out.

XCVI placed an emphasis on strong colors, such as red and teal, and rich, deep colors, such as burgundy and purple. They mixed and layered these colors with neutrals to pull together a look that you would want to wear on a sunny but cool fall afternoon.

Essential to the fall/winter 2012 collection is the bundled, layered look. Many of the models donned loosely-fitted sweaters while covered in wraps, scarves and vests. Sheer fabrics were used in some of the tops and the designer kept the look on the models light by layering thin knitted sweaters with scarves on top and colorful tops underneath. Faux fur hats and sparkly belts were also accessories worn by the models that topped the looks off.

The finale revealed a stunning nude-colored, floor-length sweater dress that fit the curves of the model, while the bottom half of the dress was a sheer, crochet pattern reminiscent of a mermaid's tail. The arms of the dress were also sheer, making the dress a light choice on a fall afternoon.

Last night a new set of collections were revealed by L'une Collection, Madison Park, Skingraft & Hermanovski. Continue to follow Neon Tommy as we report on LA Style Fashion Week 2012!
