It's probably because they're generous with their time and free samples, but it could also be that the women behind the PR/marketing/events agency are incredibly friendly, fashionable, and business savvy.

Whatever the reason, Elle Communications proved to be quite the hostess(es) Thursday night at their invite-only fashion showcase of clients' work, which took place at their charmingly quaint suite in midtown LA.

Elle is a small agency that represents the likes of Leoluca Handbags, Made for Good, Raven + Lily, Future:Standard, Jedidiah, MusiCares, and UNITED Artist Network, which are all budding (and fabulous) fashion brands.

Upon entering the agency's suite, guests were presented with a mood-lit room with racks of sample clothing by Jedidiah, Future:Standard, and MusiCares. Recycled metal jewelry by Raven + Lily were laid out on a low, mirrored side table and footstool by a large window overlooking the historic building's courtyard.

Just beyond the racks was the beauty room: behold, every girl's dream! Nailpolish by Milani, gift bags courtesy of Made for Good, and a braid bar styled by Traci Henningsen of Roman Salon. Enter, fashion journalist/ blogger with navy blue nailpolish, clutch, and chaotic curly hair. Exit, fashion journalist/ blogger with lavender glitter nailpolish, gift bag, and playful side braid. Magical! Simply magical!

Upstairs, guests lounged on comfy couches and snacked on mini cupcakes while sipping mint juleps and gazing upon the buttery-leather-heaven creations that are Leoluca Handbags. This fashion journalist found herself staring at a certain oversized black studded clutch a little too longingly.

A photobooth and balcony set with wrought iron tables and chairs completed the showcase, and when it came time to decide what the favorite piece of the night was, it was a close call. Ultimately, however, a whimsical little nude-colored dress by Future:Standard and a woven recylced metal necklace by Raven + Lily won my heart.

Fun and effective, the agency has further broadened our fashion horizons by showing us the beautiful and innovative work of growing brands-- brands that I will remember with fondness from this delightful and intimate Thursday night at the suite.

Which is definitely why everyone wants to work with Elle.
