If you're counting down the minutes to get the latest iPad, you may want to line up at Apple stores for Friday's release date. The company has pushed its earliest ship date to March 19.

The delay applies to all versions, in both black and white.

The newest Apple tablet features a crisper display with 2048 x 1536 pixels, compared to the iPad 2's 1024 x 768 pixels. The unnamed new version also has a 5-megapixel rear camera as opposed to the older version's 0.7-megapixel rear camera.

The iPad 2's price has been reduced to $399. The new iPad starts at $499, or $629 for 4G LTE connectivity. Service is available on Verizon and AT&T networks.
