"The Voice" Battle Round Performances Come To End
Monday night's episode of "The Voice"
James Massone and Wade battled it out to Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors" showing their genuine vocal ability. The final note they sang together had incredible harmony and James' vocal connection moved not only Cee Lo to tears, but him to the live shows.
Team Adam contestants Mathai & Nicolle Galyon gave a bubbly performance, but it was obvious that Mathai's tone and control dominated their battle. Her ability to take on a range of songs could make her a threat in the live shows. Moses Stone and the Line tore up the stage with an unbelievable display of stage presence and vocal talent. Moses' free-styling ability adds another dimension to his vocal ability which rang true for Christina Aguilera as he got a spot in the live shows.
Naia Kete & Jordan Rager's rendition of Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" separated the okay to those that have incredible potential. With a slightly lackluster battle for Team Blake Shelton, Naia made it through simply through her previous vocal ability. Surprisingly Adam Levine chose Karla Davis over Orlando Napier to join his team in the live shows.
The best performance of the night undoubtedly goes to Tony Vincent and Justin Hopkins who sang "Faithfully." Tony's classic and trained vocals bolstered the whole performance. Cee Lo went with Tony Vincent adding another strong competitor to his team.
At this point it is difficult to say which judge has the strongest team, but it is possible that with the diverse vocal talent, Cee Lo may be lucky to take it all this year. Make sure to tune in next Monday at 8 P.M. on NBC for the first live show!
