Marco Rubio: "I'm Not Going To Be The Vice Presidential Nominee" [WATCH]
Despite continuing to rack up endorsements, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio again denied interest in the Republican vice presidential nomination Wednesday.
On MSNBC, Rubio said, "I'm not going to be the vice presidential nominee, but I'm always flattered when people bring it up, I think they mean it as a compliment."
Just last week, Rubio got a gushing recommendation from Florida governor Jeb Bush, who called Rubio "the best orator of American politics today."
Bush supported Romney for the GOP presidential nominee and suggested Rubio should be the VP.
According to the Hill:
"Rubio has steadfastly denied interest in joining the ticket, although political observers in Washington largely believe the senator is playing coy. Recent decisions to move the release of an autobiography to summer and expenditures by his political action committee to vet his past have GOP insiders predicting that Rubio is reading himself for a run."
"It's not going to happen," Rubio told Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC. "I'm obviously flattered that people think about me that way. There are some things I'd like to get done here in the United States Senate. I'm enjoying the role that we have here."
