A New England Journal of Medicine study conducted in 2005 found that for the first time in 1000 years, the children of this generation are not expected to live as long as their parents.

Perpetuating obesity and diseases like cancer, the multibillion-dollar diet and weight loss industry has created a monster, according to a revolutionary documentary called "Hungry For Change."

The second documentary from the internationally acclaimed "Food Matters" filmmakers, Laurentine ten Bosch and James Colquhoun, shows us how to take control of our health and weight naturally, using the laws of nature and our bodies. The film is available to watch online for free until March 31st.

Filled with expert interviews and supporting research, "Hungry For Change" shows us how to become thinner and more attractive by starting from the natural mechanics of our bodies, instead of buying into the latest diet trend where the only guarantee is failure.

In fact, the film says, 90-95% of dieters ultimately end up gaining more weight than when they began. The film shows us the deception of fat-free foods and diet foods, such as diet soda, which can cause neurological problems due to aspartame content.

The film finds that "those attempting to change the habits of a lifetime of damage are being held back by a food and weight loss industry which has a multibillion dollar interest in keeping us tethered to bad health." While alarming at first, it makes perfect sense. If the "magic bullets" on the market actually worked, we wouldn't need them anymore and they wouldn't be making the fortune they are today.

"Hungry For Change" exposes the deceptive strategies the food and diet industries use to keep us unhappy, unhealthy and coming back for more, similar to the cigarette industry. It's what makes us addicts to the feel-good food or the ultimate quick fix.

In fact, studies have shown that sugar is more addictive than heroin. The film adds that it is an opiate, or a morphine-like substance. Whereas in the 1900's people consumed 15 grams of sugar on average each day, today we consume between 28-150 grams per day because it is hidden in most of our foods.

Dispelling the diet, weight loss and "health food" myths constructed by the industry, “Hungry For Change” features Jamie Oliver, as well interviews with best-selling health authors and leading medical experts. It is also endorsed by international peak performance expert Anthony Robbins.

The film also features real-life transformational stories of experts who have personally struggled with weight issues and have since created dramatic changes. The personal accounts are inspiring, showing that change is truly possible.

This film does not endorse a product; created with the public's best interests in mind, it exposes dark industry secrets. It demonstrates how some so-called health foods we eat are keeping us trapped in a vicious cycle of dieting and bad health. "It shows that by educating ourselves about what we eat and where it comes from, we can truly take control of our appearance, our health and ultimately, our life,” said filmmaker Laurentine ten Bosch.

Some things you will learn:

  • How many of the foods we eat are more like science projects than nourishment for our bodies
  • Which foods to avoid at the grocery store, and which to choose
  • Why diet and fat free foods should be avoided at all costs
  • The dangers of "diet" foods, MSG, sugar-free, and fat-free products
  • How to overcome food addictions and obsessive cravings
  • Healthy detox strategies
  • How to eat for a healthy glow

Nutritionists turned filmmakers, Laurentine ten Bosch and James Colquhoun were determined to make the film’s message available to the public and as far-reaching as possible. Thus, they decided to launch the revolutionary documentary for free online. With the power of social media and word of mouth, this film has already reached a worldwide audience, and the numbers continue to climb.

“This is information that needs to get to people fast," said Colquhoun. "There is this prevalent mindset in our society where we think that being overweight, having food allergies, feeling sluggish or run down is just part of life and aging. It’s not true.... This film helps people help themselves, and we need to start doing it now.”

Upon interviewing world leaders in nutrition and natural healing, the filmmakers found that they all had the same findings: "we are harming our bodies with improper nutrition, but that the right kind of foods, supplements and detoxification can be used to treat chronic illnesses as fatal as terminally diagnosed cancer."

Staying up-to-date on the latest health news, I found myself shocked at some of the findings, such as the effects that the food we eat today has in our bodies. For example, did you know that sugar kills more people than all the drugs in this world, combined? Or that chia seeds and parsley are great detoxifiers?

While some facts were straightforward, others were shocking. For example, sugar and other white foods such as flour are akin to cocaine; processed from an actual plant, but so far removed that they are highly addictive and damaging in similar ways.

"Hungry For Change" arms the everyday citizen with expert advice on how to identify hidden names for food additives. It trains the everyday consumer to adopt the mindset of a nutritionist. I highly suggest checking this film out, and hope that it will make a difference in your family's life. It just may be the most impactful 90 minutes to improve the rest of your life.

The the ultimate guide on "how to eat your way to beauty and health, “Hungry For Change” is available for free until March 31st. Watch it at http://www.hungryforchange.tv/. If we keep spreading the word, this information has the potential to drastically improve the quality of many lives.
