Republican frontrunner Mitt Romney will head into March 6's Super Tuesday contests riding a five-state winning streak, after a runaway victory in the Washington caucuses on Saturday.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Romney captured 38 percent of the vote in the Evergreen State, according to CBS News. Rep. Ron Paul finished second with 25 percent and Rick Santorum placed close behind with 24 percent. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich was a distant fourth.

But the big prize for all the candidates will come this Tuesday when 419 delegates will be up for grabs in 10 state contests. The most heated tussle could come in the battleground state of Ohio, where Romney and Santorum are locked in a close race, according to the Associated Press.

Romney could receive a boost in the Buckeye State after securing the endorsement of the influential Cleveland Plain Dealer on Saturday, Fox News reported.

Santorum, during a campaign stop in Ohio, cautioned his party against nominating the former Massachusetts governor because "moderates do not have the best chance of winning." Santorum could face major challenges in Ohio after failure to turn in required paperwork made his campaign ineligible for 18 of that state's 66 delegates.

"It's David and Goliath. I get that," Santorum told Fox News. "And you know what? I know who wins in the end."

Georgia and its 76 delegates will provide the biggest haul available. Polls show Gingrich, who has not won a contest since South Carolina on Jan. 21, leading in his home state, according to the AP.

The Romney campaign picked up the endorsement of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, who made the announcement Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press." Cantor's home state Virginia will award 49 delegates in Tuesday's primary contest.

"What I have seen is a very hard-fought primary. And we have seen now that the central issue about the campaign now is the economy," Cantor said. "I just think there's one candidate in the case who can do that, and it's Mitt Romney."

Romney's home state Massachusetts will have 41 delegates at stake on Tuesday. Other contests will be held in Alaska, Idaho, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Vermont.
