With March 20th marking the official start of Spring, now is the time to spring forward and revamp your wardrobe.  As busy college students, some lack the time or funds (or both) to purchase new pieces to get into the Spring spirit.

Here are five tips in making the transition a little easier!

1. Scarves

Don’t push these winter favorites to the back of your closet just yet. Floral scarves paired with a bright blouse make excellent pair for an April day. Try adding a pastel cotton scarf to a classic T-shirt and jeans for an effortless chic look.

2. Cardigans

Cardigans may be a winter purchase, but these essentials can easily be utilized this spring. Grab your heather grey cardigan before heading to class in the chilly morning weather, or place a printed one over a spring dress.

3. Maxi skirts

Luckily for Southern Californians, maxi skirts provided comfort and just enough warmth in the 70-degree winter. Continue to wear your favorite maxi skirts accompanied with a loose tank and Rainbows for a laid-back California vibe.

4. Boots

It’s finally time to show some leg in your favorite girly dresse! Instead of looking a bit too elementary, throw on your favorite pair of boots to give your dress an edgy effect. Motorcycle boots that cut at mid-calf will create perfect proportions with a shorter dress.
