A bomb exploded outside the Indonesian embassy in Paris' 16th district early Wednesday morning, shattering windows and setting two cars on fire but causing no injuries, according to police.

The blast occured at approximately 5:45 a.m., shortly after the suspicious package it had been housed in was spotted outside the embassy.

According to reports, a janitor found the package in front of the embassy and threw it away from the door.  The bomb exploded minutes later.

Marty Natalegawa, Indonesian foreign minister, from USA Today:

"We're yet to ascertain whether the explosion actually directed against Indonesia embassy or whether by coincidence it was located or took place by the embassy."

France has seen a wave of attacks - three separate fatal shootings in the southern part of the country - over the past week and a half.
