On March 3, 2012 I had the pleasure of attending a Simply Stylist event hosted by Catt Sadler of E! News at the W Hotel in Hollywood. The event consisted of a seminar and panelist intro, a tweet-in question and answer session, a VIP panelist meet and greet, and a shopping event that was used as a networking mixer. Panelists included Brenna Egan of Refinery29.com, style expert Jamie Krell, Naven clothing line owners Kym and Alexis McClay, celebrity stylist Jeanne Yang, and fashion blogger Shea Marie.

The shopping event and networking mixer gave me the opportunity to explore brands and ask questions to the sales representatives at each booth, which included brands Meghan La, Kid Dangerous, Gomer Sunglasses, Naven, The General Store, Rent The Runway, Glam Glow, and more, however, one booth stood out amongst the others. Duepunti Unconventional Diamonds is a fantastic new brand based in Milan and created by the son of a well-known diamond dealer. What sticks out about Duepunti is the fact that they recognize and sympathize with the fact that not everyone can afford the expensive diamonds that we all covet.
