The British have arrived! In cycle 18 of the CW's popular reality TV show, "America’s Next Top Model," seven British beauties are going head to head with seven American contestants for the coveted title.

“This is a boxing match between two regions,” said show’s creator and head judge, Tyra Banks to People. “It’s interesting to see them battle it out to get on top.”

What to expect for the rest of the season? "There will be tears, emotion, and some girls will be pissed off," said Banks. "One girl will get pink hair, another girl will have half her head shaved off. Another girl got 'America's Next Top Model' shaved into her scalp.”

While the show just premiered Wednesday, there are already standouts within the groups.

On the American side, contenders and audiences will have to watch out for Lauren, who will likely rub some people the wrong way. “She’s a crazy, in-your-face girl,” said Banks to the magazine. Other girls to look out for include, AzMarie, a striking, androgynous outspoken lesbian and Mariah, the show’s first full Native American model. The American girls face tough competition from their British counterparts. The British girls are very competitive," according to Banks. "They have some spunk."

This year’s prize include a modeling contract, endorsement deals, and a single to be produced and released by CBS. To see who will come up on top, you’ll just have to tune in and see.
