Monday's episode of "The Voice" really set the stage for the extraordinary talent expected through the rest of the season. The array of sultry soul and rock on the show will be sure to challenge the judges in the upcoming weeks. At the beginning of the show the talent was at a steady lull, but the second hour brought the fire and entertainment.

One of the show's newest contenders, now on Christina Aguilera's team is Geoff McBride. Although, he looked like a Ray Charles impersonator, his great groove and parallelism to the legend captured the judges. He seemed as though he only can sing Motown or R&B classics, his voice needs to be challenged with some rock. Then we met the beauty face of Erin Martin, a former model. She came out on stage with the most unique sound of the night. Singing "Hey There Delilah", her tone was a great compilation of Macy Grey and Paramore's Hayley Williams. Cee Lo couldn't help but turn boyishly flirtatious when he locked eyes and snagged her for his team.

All of the judges had there ears wide open to be careful who they were going to choose. Of course along with that came the firey tension between Christina and Adam Levine. She made it known in attempts to gain contestant Pip, that she "had great success before Maroon 5". These entertaining jabs is what make these judges able to be powerhouses in their own right.

The best talent came at the end of the night with performances by energetic rocker Brian Fuente and the sultry Chris Cauley. Chris' bluegrass roots and R&B sound was the smoothest audience of the night, he definitely stole the hearts of the ladies. As the night continued one of the contestants friendship to Perez Hilton wasn't enough, and Winter Rae's rock look and soul didn't cut it. The pickiness of the judges will hopefully be to their benefit especially that of Christina Aguilera. Yet, she nabbed "The Voice's" first MC, Moses Stone, who did a fantastic rendition of "Let's Get It Started" by the Black Eyed Peas.

Besides being able to sing, these performers must have personality. And that came from James Massone from New Jersey. He stunned the judges with his voice especially Adam who exclaimed "He's white!" Jame's rendition of "Find Your Love" had some Justin Bieber tone, and he was truly humbled to even be on the stage. If the talent couldn't be raised any more, the night ended with Jordis Unga. She was the only female who truly felt what she was singing. Her transition from soft and raspy into a full blown rocker chic hyped everyone up.

This is the talent thats here to stay and it's only week 2! Make sure to look out for what Adam does with R&B singer Chris Cauley as I think his soul could take on rock. The judges are going to have to really prove their abilities in transforming these contestants from talent to "The Voice."
