Offensive lineman Kyle Murphy of San Clemente High School will join the Stanford Cardinal, he announced at a high school ceremony Wednesday.

The 6-foot-7, 270-pound lineman with head to Northern California over offers from USC, Oregon and Florida.

Murphy is rated as a five-star prospect by Rivals and Scout, and a four-star recruit by ESPN. Rivals ranked Murphy as the No. 3 offensive tackle in the country, and the No. 19 prospect overall. Scout placed him as the No. 4 tackle, as did ESPN, which also ranked him No. 27 nationally among all players.

Murphy made his official visit to USC on Jan. 20. He has a great frame and long arms, according to Bud Elliott of SBNation, and is also strong academically with a 3.9 GPA.
