In the second to last week of the blind auditions and “The Voice” didn't falter in the insane amount of talent on Monday’s episode. Every genre was represented to its fullest potential, but certain individuals stole the show. Not to mention Cee Lo's flirtatious remarks were combatted by some of the contestants, the judges didn't really vie as much this episode for the different talent.

Besides the numerous amounts of unfortunate stories that have had to plague many of these contestants, their voices overshadowed their trials. One of the top five best talents of the night was Brazillian native Jonathas. His rendition of Usher's "You Got It Bad" wooed the ladies and mirrored the stars exact voice. Christina Aguilera had to throw modesty aside in order to nab him on her team, but it was well worth it. A 3rd Street Promenade street performer, Naia Kete stole the heart of judge/mentor Blake Shelton with her smooth and great textured rendition of "The Lazy Song". 

As the night continued, some of the contestants that were picked on the various teams had great pitch, but gave lackluster performances. Then there came Tony Vincent, an experienced Broadway actor and singer, whose classic vocal ability and incredible range nailed Queen's "We Are the Champions." With Cee Lo Green as his coach, it will be interesting to see how he transforms this trained voice into something unique. Unfortunately for Anthony Evans, the son of a preacher, his gospel voice did nothing for the judges.

The night's next unforeseen talent came from Jamie Lono, a sandwich maker from Chicago, whose ordinary look met an unmatched rendition of Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues". Cee Lo made sure to let Jamie know that since he ate sandwich's, they would be a perfect match for each another. And that they were. Although, we didn't get to see much of her performance, Christina picked up Ashley de la Rosa, whose pitch was spot on and gave a solid performance. Hopefully, during the battle rounds, Christina can challenge her pop soul voice. 

The star of the night was Mathai, a young hopeful who decided not to go to nursing school in order to pursue her dreams of becoming a singer. Mathai's rendition of Adele's "Rumor Has It" showed off one of the most unique voices to ever grace the stage. Her manipulation of the notes and fluidity throughout the song was perfection. Hopefully, last year's winning judge Adam Levine can do the same for her this year. With each of the judges teams seeming pretty equal, it will be interesting to see what fresh talent gets added to the team next week.
