Three Dead After Passenger Train Derails In Canada

The mayor of Burlington, Ontario says three people are dead after a Via train derailment Sunday afternoon.

Via spokeswoman Michelle Lamarche told the Winnipeg Free Press that 75 people were on the train traveling from the Niagara Falls to Toronto.

Burlington Mayor Rick Goldring told the Winnipeg Free Press that the crash caused minor damage to nearby buildings.

Dozens are still trapped in the train, according to the Daily Mail.

Police told the Global Toronto that they would be there for hours to help victims and deal with a fuel leak.
