For Ryan Seacrest, his Burberry tuxedo filled with fake ashes after Cohen poured his urn on live television.
Before Seacrest could make a comeback, Cohen was escorted off by security.
Stars on Twitter went to the defense of Seacrest, a red carpet veteran.
CNN host Piers Morgan said, “This is just not funny. At all. Really.”
“Today” cohost Hoda Kotb thought Seacrest couldn’t have handled it better. “@RyanSeacrest is a pro!!! Handled the dictator like a champ. Pass the lint brush xo”
“The View” cohost Joy Behar thought the stunt was all in good fun. “Loving The Dictator spilling Kim Il Jong's ashes onto Ryan Seacrest's tux. Sasha Baron Cohen is the funniest.” Blogger Perez Hilton agreed with Behar tweeting, “Sacha Baron Cohen rules!!!!”
Television personality and author Ali Wentworth sensed some anger from Seacrest. “Ryan Seacrest is P-I-S-S-E-D! Now THIS is good TV!”

Oh I long for the absurdity but deeply human Andy Kaufman..Cohen's timing is wrong, no surprise to it, and like a lot of comedy based on the word and concept rather than portrayal. Funny would be if he got a fire-retardent suit on, set himself on fire and drag raced down Hollywood Blvd in front of the theater..or do what Blake Edwards did, his foot in a cast, in a wheelchair and smashing through a set at the awards.
