Actress Roseanne Barr says she is seriously considering running for president under the Green Party, Barr said the two-party system is failing and wants changes to be made, reports The Daily Beast.

"The Democrats and Republicans have proven that they are servants -- bought and paid for by the 1% -- who are not doing what's in the best interest of the American people," Barr told the Associated Press.

Barr said in a statement that she has supported the Green Part for a long time. The party will pick its nominee in Baltimore in July. She has already submitted paperwork for her candidacy.

"I will barnstorm American living rooms," she said in a candidate questionnaire submitted to the Green Party, reports the AP. "Mainstream media will be unable to ignore me, but more importantly they will be unable to overlook the needs of average Americans in the run-up to the 2012 election."

Barr said her campaign promise is to fight for the middle class.
