If you thought their nasty break-up was enough, the Rihanna and Chris Brown saga is not over yet. The two may be back together again, but this time for a collaboration on her song “Birthday Cake (Remix).”

It all began when, according to MTV News last week, the song’s co-producers, Da Internz said that the song would “shock the world” and it sure has with Rihanna fans.

Rumors began to circulate immediately that it was Chris Brown who would be mysterious guest featured on the remix track, even though there was no confirmation from any of the artist’s reps.

It may appear that Rihanna has room for forgiveness, after Brown’s restraining order was lifted last year and his attendance at her birthday earlier this week.  News continued to fly as sources reported that they spotted the two hanging out every time Rihanna came to Los Angeles, thought Brown’s rep reported that the two were “just friends.”

The news of their collaboration escalated when Hot 97’s Miss Info wrote on her on blog on Thursday that Brown was indeed featured on the remix, by quoting many “independent sources.”  Brown had a singing and rap verse in the track, though it was unclear whether both would appear on the track, according to Miss Info.

Fortunately for hardcore Rihanna fans and Chris Brown haters, according to Da Internz, the rumors were false.  In a previously deleted tweet, they responded to a fan’s question over the collaboration and they responded with all-caps “NOPE.”

It may have been just three years ago when Brown was arrested for assaulting the “We Found Love” singer during the night of the Grammys, but it seems the controversy has not ended there when he picked up his first Grammy award this past Sunday.

New images of Brown and Rihanna hugging at her birthday party in Beverly Hills, may confirm that the two have reconciled and reunited, but there is no hard pressed evidence yet on whether it is Brown that will appear as the guest star on her remix track.

At this point, fans will just have to wait to see who the mysterious artist is. It could be that either Brown really did have a sample track, and it will be released, hidden, or that maybe Brown was never on the track to begin with.

With Rihanna’s wild behavior, rampant texts, and crazy fashion, the singer has clearly proven to her fans that she is a one-of-a-kind artist that definitely has the final word in her life.

“Rihanna loves to live dangerously, and talking to and hooking up with Chris is all part of that,” said a Rihanna insider according to US Weekly.
