In this week’s episode of "Modern Family," jealousy plagues the group, causing tension every branch of the family.

Phil is nervous about hosting dinner for a potential client (guest star Greg Kinnear) who is extremely successful, saying he is “flipping houses like they are extras in a Kung Fu movie.” But at the end of the dinner, he gives Claire an inappropriately long kiss on the lips.

Haley lied on her college applications saying she was a Big Sister (capitalizing the B and the S) so she has to volunteer for the organization, making Claire and Phil proud, but her miserable. However, after volunteering one day, she falls in love with her little sister, and Alex gets extremely jealous.

Gloria and Jay open their home to Mitch and Cam while their house is being fumigated. Tension brews as the two couples get on each other’s nerves. Gloria and Cam fight over Lily and interior design, while Mitch and his father squabble over Mitch’s career and one of Jay’s long time idols.

Cam and Gloria each try to drive each other to the edge while Manny tries to relate to them with a fake story about a girl named Danielle. A night in the kitchen makes the two of them realize they complement each other nicely, and appreciate the changes the other brought to the house. Danielle’s story also helps to mend the anxiety between Jay and Mitch.

Tad, Phil’s client, continues to hit on Claire, and Phil doesn’t see it. He brings her wine and fixes a squeaky table shirtless. As he leaves, he again kisses her goodbye after giving Phil the listing for the house he wanted and inviting them both to dinner at his house. Phil accuses her of wanting an ego boost, and Claire gets offended, eager to prove him wrong. However, she is proven wrong upon their arrival at his house, when the nanny and even his children are greeted with a kiss on the lips, but when Tad makes her laugh, Phil falls into a fit of jealousy, which is exactly what Claire wanted.
