Fighting best friends, manipulative Chuck, underdog Dan, confused Nate, two Charlies, and a whole bunch of family drama.

Pretty much sums up the ordinary day in the lives of Manhattan’s elite as well as this week’s episode of "Gossip Girl."

Blair and Serena are fighting again. Over a boy. What a surprise. Dorota locks them in a room until they work things out, which sets Blair off on a mission to prove that she doesn’t care for Dan by spending more time with him (because for some reason that seems to make sense to them). She tracks him down using Gossip Girl’s spotted map, but then, oops, she accidentally starts kissing him just as Serena walks in the room and of course storms off once again.

While reading cheesy lines from his book at a comedy group performance, Blair realizes that Dan really does love and maybe she does have feelings for him. How Dair she. Once she admits this Serena is suddenly okay with it and tells her that she won’t get in the way.

Chuck Bass is a different story. There’s no way he’s going to let his girl be taken away from him by Humphrey. He sleeps with Dan’s agent to mess with his new book proposal and almost gets him sacked for plagiarism, but at Blair’s command immediately sets things straight and lets Dan move on with his life. Now all he can do is pine away for his love while she sorts through her feelings for Dan. Are the writers ever going to give this poor guy a break?

And then we have Nate. Chasing after another random girl yet again. Except she’s not random. She’s the real Charlie Rhodes who now knows that Ivy is impersonating her and wants answers. She uses Nate to find out more about her and Nate figures this out, but doesn’t seem to care and still takes her in without asking any questions. No wonder this boy’s love life sucks, someone should really suggest getting background checks before he falls head over heels with the next pretty little thing he finds.

The best part about this week’s episode is that the truth about the Charlies is finally revealed. Now Lola knows what her mother Carol has been doing all along and doesn’t want to speak to her anymore.  No one wants to speak to the fake Charlie either because she lied to them all. We can only hope that we won’t have to deal with the double Charlie’s for much longer and will actually be given a storyline worth following.

In other sad news, they kill off the sick grandma with cancer and use her sickness as the setup to have the Rhodes and the many Charlies confront each other. Poor CeCe, whatever will we do without her random and unwanted visits to the Upper East Side. Looks like we’ll have to stick to Georgina to continue stirring things up for now.

She’s doing a fairly good job at it. She sends Chuck the email that tells him Dan was the one who leaked the video of Blair. He looks angry and bloodthirsty, so here’s to hoping the poor boy will get his dues in next week’s episode.

Overall a humdrum week for "Gossip Girl." Tune in next week to see what new drama the Rhodes stir up over CeCe’s will.
