This isn’t quite Janet Jackson 2.0, but Sri Lankan singer M.I.A. is causing quite a stir on the Internet with her Super Bowl halftime contribution. While on stage with Nicki Minaj and Madonna for the spell-it-out heavy “Give Me All Your Luvin,” M.I.A. flipped the camera (and thereby audiences) the bird and audibly cursed. Expect an FCC furor in 3… 2… 1… (EW)

Feeling let down by this year’s Super Bowl commercials? Too bad Americans everyone outside of northern Nebraska didn’t get to see this delightfully bizarre Will Ferrell beer schill. (Vulture)

The Super Bowl aired several movie trailers, but at least for this writer, the one that caused the most uproar wasn’t “Act of Valor,” or even “Battleship” (when did Rihanna start acting?). Oh no, that honor goes to the new clip for “The Avengers,” which finally gives viewers a closer look at Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk. (Deadline) (video below)

Ridley Scott’s apparently signed on for another go at his sci-fi classic Blade Runner, but what was supposed to be a reboot is looking increasingly like a sequel. That’s right, Harrison Ford is in talks to appear in the film. Does that mean we’ll finally figure out Deckard’s real identity? (If you don’t know what I’m suggesting… Watch the director’s cut of the film.) (Twitch)

Filed under: too soon? Evidently not. French actor Gerard Depardieu (whose bodily fluids once left Anderson Cooper in tears) has been cast as Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the beleaguered IMF chief. Isabelle Adjani has been cast as DSK’s wife, Anne Sinclair. (BBC)
