Ah, Kanye, never stop doing what you do best: confusing the hell out of everyone else. Mr. West sent reps out to the Persian Gulf region to scout locations for a short film. Why there? What will the film be about? Who knows?! But anyone who gets three governments to fight over him must be doing something right. (The New York Observer)

Matt Damon won’t be directing anytime soon, but he and John Krasinski will be facing off in that same project, now helmed by indie auteur Gus Van Sant. The movie, Promised Land, will be coming out through Focus Features. (Vulture)

Crushing on Revenge starlet Emily VanCamp? You’re out of luck—she’s apparently now dating her show co-star Josh Bowman. (Us Weekly)

Snaps of Daniel Craig in the new Bond film Skyfall have been floating around the Internet for a while, but the first official shot is out. It looks more Tron than Bond so far, but (hopefully?) that’s not where the franchise is going. (EW)

Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream) is making a film about Noah’s Ark, and he wants none other than Russell Crowe to play the titular sailor (ark captain?). (Deadline)
