Hosted by renowned DJ, founder and CEO of Black Girls Rock! Beverly Bond, the glam event ensured Grammy attendees would be ready for their close-up. Head-to-toe makeovers were offered by established celebrity makeup artist AJ Crimson, fashion designer Jovani, “eyelash guru to the stars” Ja’maal Buster, and hair stylists Richard Glass and Amber Renick. Attendees roamed around the room, trying on the fun glitzy Jovani dresses, choosing a lip-gloss shade, or getting a voluminous blowout, all while listening to the rocking DJ stylings of Beverly Bond.
Though one did not have to be a celebrity to receive the royal treatment, celebrities did come in and out throughout the event. Actress and model Mia Hope tried on several dresses throughout the afternoon, striking a pose for the camera with each wardrobe change. Two members of girl band Sophia Fresh also made appearances, as well as young actor Zach Callison from "Land of the Lost." "Real Housewives of Atlanta" Sheree Whitfield was in attendance as well. It was a wild and fun afternoon, as manifested in the funky fashion and beauty choices of the attendees, and the perfect prelude to the exciting 54th annual Grammy Awards.
