Arizona Governor Jan Brewer officially endorsed Mitt Romney on “Meet the Press” Sunday. The Arizona primary will be held Tuesday.

“He [Romney] handles himself very well,” Brewer told The Daily Beast. “But more than that, he has that pro-business background.” Brewer also said she believed Romney had the best chance at winning the general election.

Brewer also made headlines recently for deciding not to attend the National Governors Association dinner. The dinner is an annual black-tie affair.

Brewer said she chose not to attend due to scheduling conflicts. She is, however, a large critic of Obama and it is unclear if her conflict was state business or personal, reports Bloomberg.

Other conservative Republicans and Obama critics, such as Florida Governor Rick Scott and Iowa Governor Terry Branstad, are attending the dinner.

“When the president of the United States invites the governors to come to a formal dinner, you don’t turn him down, OK?” Branstad told Bloomberg. “My youngest son is going with me. It’s a nice honor. I’m not going to deny that for my son.”
