Update (Wednesday 10:57 AM): Banner signed an official Letter of Intent Wednesday morning, USC announced.

USC bolstered its offensive line today when it got a commitment from highly-touted tackle Zach Banner from Lakes High School (Lakewood, Wash.).

Banner, a 6-foot-8, 305-pounder, announced Monday that he had chosen the Trojans over Washington and Oklahoma. He was one of the most sought-after linemen in the country and will look to compete for playing time early possibly at the left tackle spot vacated by Matt Kalil.

The Pacific Northwest product is listed as a five-star player by Rivals. Rivals also lists Banner as the No. 2 offensive lineman in the country and the No. 16 player overall. ESPN ranks Banner as a four-star prospect, No. 15 among offensive lineman and the 122nd player in the 2012 class. Scout has Banner as a four-star prospect and the No. 13 offensive tackle.
