Update: USC has officially confirmed the Agholor signing.

Nelson Agholor, a wide receiver from Tampa, Fla. signed with USC Wednesday, he announced on ESPNU.

One of the most highly sought-after skill position players in the country, The 6-foot-2, 180 pounder is very versatile.

Though he was a prolific running back for Berkeley Prep and rushed for nearly 2,000 yards and 28 touchdowns his senior season, he is expected to compete for immediate playing time at USC as a wide receiver. He has consistently run a 4.40-second 40-yard dash.

Agholor is rated as a five-star recruit by Rivals and a four-star prospect by Scout and ESPN. Those same scouting services list him as the No. 3, No. 5, and No. 6 player at his position, respectively. Rivals also has him ranked as the No. 18 prospect overall.

Agholor, who officially visited USC on January 27, chose the Trojans over Florida and Notre Dame, among others.

Agholor on USC: "The opportunity to play alongside Marqise Lee & Robert Woods...and catch passes from a Heisman candidate in Matt Barkley."
