What do SOPA, Netflix, Verizon and Bank of America share in common?

They all know, full well, the power of social media.

In less than a year, each of the three corporate giants, and the controversial congressional bill have hit an unprecedented amount of scrutiny online; and all three backed down due to Internet activism.

Netflix, Verizon and Bank of America all backed away from fee hikes. And Friday, SOPA was shelved after mass protests crippled the bill on Wednesday.
