A homeless man was found dead on Friday night near a Carls Jr. in Anaheim and police have a potential suspect in custody.

The man was found stabbed to death by the intersection of La Palma and Imperial between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. according to police.

Police have set up a large containment area and are searching it for evidence said Anaheim Police Deputy Chief Craig Hunter.

There are unconfirmed reports that the homeless man's bloody body was found in the dumpster of the fast food restaurant.

Police did not release the victim's name, nor the name of the person in custody.

This could potentially be the fourth in a string of murders of Orange County homeless people since December. But police will not confirm whether the suspect in custody is connected to these serial murders.

The murder occurred on a night when police set up a planned check point in an effort to find information they hoped would lead to the suspected serial killer.
