Screen Actors Guild Awards: Top 5 Worst Dressed
5. Shailene Woodley
Although the embellishment on “The Descendants” star Shailene Woodley’s dress shines nicely, the red and grey floral print seems far better suited to one of the touristy Hawaiian shirts George Clooney wears in the movie than to a dress for an awards show. The scarlet flowers, in particular, are so bright that they match the red carpet. Shailene’s hastily pulled-back hair and lack of accessorizing also detract from the dress’ glamour, making it look like a misguided choice for her senior prom on her show, “Secret Life of the American Teenager.”

4. Gretchen Mol
The gold polo-style neckline on Gretchen Mol’s L’Wren Scott gown washes out her porcelain skin and makes her appear as if she is headed to the golf course instead of to the red carpet. While the thick gold band around her waist does create a flattering figure, the color contrasts too strikingly with her golden hair. Even small touches of the getup, like the awkward hem on the bottom of the dress and her dark nail polish, fall flat.

3. Maya Rudolph
“Bridesmaids” star Maya Rudolph appears to be wearing two separate but equally frumpy dresses on the red carpet. The sparkly beige top features an unflattering bust line and awkward short sleeves, while the dowdy black skirt does nothing for her figure. Unfortunately, Maya’s mediocre jewelry was the most stylish element of her outfit.

2. Busy Phillips
“Cougar Town” actress Busy Phillips wears a blue-and-white floral print SIMONE by Kate Nehra dress that looks far better suited to a casual day at the beach than to a glamorous evening at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Questionable even as a cover-up for a bathing suit, the Bohemian-style dress fails to show off Busy’s figure. Her coral turtle clutch and colorful bangles make the look even worse by enhancing the beachy feel of the outfit.

1. Heather Morris
From the leather trim on her dress’ bodice to her gown’s see-through train, nearly every aspect of “Glee” star Heather Morris’ outfit is wildly inappropriate for the Screen Actors Guild awards. Her clunky bracelet resembles a handcuff, and her overly shiny metallic shoes look cheap and trashy. Additionally, the front of the dominatrix dress is so short in front that it only seems appropriate for Sorority Row – on Halloween night. (Photo Credit: @heatherMArmy) |
