Palin Attacks Romney: Former Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin is the latest in a string of Republicans to attack GOP presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney's record as head of Bain Capital. "This isn't about a politician making huge profits in the private sector," she told Fox News. "I think what Governor Perry is getting at is that Governor Romney has claimed to have created 100,000 jobs at Bain and people are wanting to know is there proof of that claim?" Palin also called on Romney to release his tax returns.

Romney Preparing Counterattack: After being on the receiving end of a barrage of attacks from his Republican presidential rivals, Mitt Romney will soon go on the offensive over his record at Bain Capital, Politico is reporting. Romney's advisers are working on new messages to combat both Republican and Democrat attacks. His campaign is also working on new political ads. "For every scare story that they try to present related to the governor’s experience in the private sector and free enterprise,” Romney adviser Madden told Politico, “we can point to a whole host of successful enterprises that have resulted in job creation and wealth and prosperity.”

Perry Loses Major S.C. Endorsement To Romney: Rick Perry's struggling presidential campaign received yet another blow on Thursday. Perry's recent attacks on Romney over his private equity past have cost him the endorsement of influential South Carolina Republican and top GOP donor Barry Wynn, the Associated Press reported. Even worse for Perry: Wynn told the AP he would now throw his support behind Romney.

California GOP Lawmaker Calls It Quits: Another California Republican has announced his retirement from Congress. Rep. Jerry Lee said he will step down from his seat when his term is up. Lewis's district - which includes parts of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties - was recently re-drawn, making his path to re-election more difficult. The 77-year-old Lewis was first elected to Congress in 1978, and is the longest serving GOP Congressman in state history. Two other long-time California Congressmen, Elton Gallegly and Wally Herger, also announced their retirement from the House of Representatives earlier this week.

C-Span Gets Prank Call About Romney's Penis Size: A C-Span caller on Tuesday started out with what was a serious question to New Hampshire Republican Chairman Wayne McDonald about voter turnout on the state's GOP presidential primary that day. And then, as Mediate put it, " the focus drifted, naturally, to the size of Mitt Romney's penis." Watch:
