2012 Oscar Nominations Announced

The nominees for the 2012 Academy Awards were announced Tuesday morning at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater downtown; some announcements were suprising (like Melissa McCarthy's supporting actress nomination), while others were expected. 

Topping the list of nominees were "Hugo" by Martin Scorcese and the silent film "The Artist" with 11 and 10 nominations, respectively. Here are the nominees:
