Update: USC has received Tuerk's fax of his National Letter of Intent.

Offensive lineman Max Tuerk of Santa Margarita Catholic High School in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. signed with USC on Wednesday morning, he announced on Twitter.

The 6-foot-4, 290-pounder has been a longtime USC commit, and chose the Trojans over UCLA, Cal and Notre Dame, among others.

Tuerk is rated as a four-star recruit and is the No. 7 offensive lineman and the No. 46 prospect overall in the class of 2012 by Rivals.com. Scout projects Tuerk as a guard at the college level and lists four-star lineman as the No. 6 guard in this year's class. ESPN also tabbed Tuerk as a four-star player as well as the No. 9 player at his position and No. 63 nationally among all players.

Tuerk originally committed to USC in May 2011 and took his official visit to USC on Jan. 13 before finally signing with the Trojans.
