Herman Cain is trying hard to salvage his presidential campaign and his reputation, launching a website called “Women For Cain” on Friday, amid the latest in a string of alleged inappropriate conduct but the Republican candidate.

The website is run by the candidate’s wife Gloria, according to the New York Daily News.  The campaign describes the site as “an online national fellowship of women dedicated to helping elect Herman Cain as the next president of the United States.”

Female supporters of Cain are encouraged to share their story and upload videos of support for the candidate on the site.

Cain came under fire this week when a woman named Ginger White came forward to say she had a 13-year affair with the former CEO of Godfathers Pizza.  Cain denied the affair but admitted to being friends with White and giving her money.  Cain said his wife did not know he was friends with White.

White’s revelation of the alleged affair has caused Cain to “reassess” his candidacy for president.  Cain will meet with his family this week and NBC is reporting he will make a "major announcement" in Georgia on Saturday.
