A new Public Policy Polling shows Ron Paul leading in Iowa with Mitt Romney in second and Newt Gingrich in third. Paul lead with 23 percent, Romney had 20 percent and Gingrich had 14 percent. Rich Santorum, Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry each received 10 percent.

The poll marks a 13 percent fall for Gingrich in the last two weeks. His favorability rating has also decreased from +31 to -1, according to The Daily Beast.

Paul’s success may be due to his recent work in Iowa. The poll also showed that 22 percent of Iowa voters say he’s run the best campaign. Only 8 percent of the Iowa voters said Gingrich has run the best campaign and 5 percent said Romney has run the best campaign.

Romney, however, has more growth room than Paul. Voters who said they were not yet firmly committed to their candidate said Romney would be their second choice.

Ron Paul will win Iowa and then either win New Hampshire or come in a very close second to Romney. Either way, he has a legitimate chance to win the Republican nomination. What will the Republicans do? They can't stand Paul because of his foreign policy.
