LSU To Play Alabama In BCS National Championship Game

College football's National Championship will be a rematch. The LSU Tigers are set to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide on Jan. 9, 2012 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La.

LSU finished the season undefeated, 13-0, after winning the SEC Championship Game on Saturday. The Tigers beat Alabama 9-6 on Nov. 5 in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Alabama edged out Oklahoma State for the berth in the title game. Both teams finished 11-1 on the season, even though Oklahoma State won the Big 12.

Here are the five BCS bowls that will be played:

National Championship (Jan. 9) - LSU vs. Alabama

Orange Bowl (Jan. 4) - Clemson vs. West Virginia

Sugar Bowl (Jan. 3) - Virginia Tech vs. Michigan

Rose Bowl (Jan. 2) - Wisconsin vs. Oregon

Fiesta Bowl (Jan. 2) - Oklahoma State vs. Stanford

And the final BCS standings:

1. LSU (13-0): 1.000

2. Alabama (11-1): .942

3. Oklahoma State (11-1): .933

4. Stanford (11-1): .848

5. Oregon (11-2): .790

6. Arkansas (10-2): .769

7. Boise State (11-1): .741

8. Kansas State (10-2): .683

9. South Carolina (10-2): .655

10. Wisconsin (11-2): .637
