Peter Jackson recently announced that he was working on a documentary about them, and now another celebrity has come out to tell the story of the West Memphis Three. Reese Witherspoon will be starring in a feature film adaptation of the drama surrounding the crime, including the continued assertion of the three accused that they did not commit any murders. (EW)

Golden Globe nominations came out yesterday, and it is the throwback to silent films of yore, The Artist, that came out ahead with six nominations, including for best comedy or musical. Other multiple-nominee films: The Descendents, The Help, The Ides of March, Midnight in Paris, and Angelina Jolie’s In the Land of Blood and Honey. (The Hollywood Reporter)

Captain America may have died and then come back, but alas, the same sadly cannot be said for his co-creator, Joe Simon. Simon passed away earlier in the week. He was 98. (Deadline

File this under “WHAT. HOW. WHY”: Clint Eastwood’s family is making a reality show. Eastwood’s wife and two of his daughters will be the focus of the show, which aims for a Kardashian-esque feel (why). Eastwood himself will not be a series regular. (TMZ)

Sentimentalists, shed a tear: ABC has canceled Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. (Vulture)
