While a male lead has yet to be confirmed for the next 300 movie (a prequel titled 300: Battle of Artemisia), the title character Artemisia has been cast. Eva Green, best known for her role as Vesper Lynd in the first new James Bond film Casino Royale, will be taking on the role of a goddess who spurs the Persian king Xerxes onto battle. Here’s to hoping she plays more of an active role than Lena Headey did in the original movie. (The Hollywood Reporter)

With some pretty spectacular music and some My Little Pony level animation (take that as you will), the clip is a charming little reminder that 1) awww Angry Birds are so cute and 2) damn, Angry Birds has a seasonal game?!
